Lot# 3 in the 2019 Amber Autumn 6th Annual Auction
In the spring of last year, Crescent Moon’s Augustana had an incredible run in the show ring. Repeatedly she stood at the top of the class, not always the winner but always in the hunt. This is what we aspire to here at Crescent Moon Ranch. Very few alpacas win all the time but when your alpaca consistently places exceptionally well in different competition and under different judges you know that alpaca is a good one indeed. Augustana made her claim to fame with a fleece which is fine and uniformed and dense and well defined and every judge that looked at her got that same impression. Augustana’s dam is a dark brown female and we couldn’t look past that fact when we bred her this year. She has been paired with the ultra fine, ultra uniformed bay black Lennox son, Patagonia’s Admiral. It is just a great pairing no matter what color the cria will be.
